Useless chatbots/customer service!

I applied to renew my plan with Globe and mind you, this is my second renewal of plan/contract now. Been with Globe for years and going 5th year for this number alone.

It was a renewal with device (iPhone 11, Black, 128GB). I never received a communication from Globe advising that my renewal request was approved or telling me to expect the delivery of the phone. Then, few days later, an unprofessional Entrego rider came to my place to deliver a package from Globe telling me to pay an amount that's different from what was generated online when I submitted the request. I had to reject the delivery thinking that it was a scam because no one from Globe contacted/notified me about it.

Now, Entrego returned the package to Globe and when I contacted your useless chatbots on messenger, one robot confirmed that it was mine. To cut the story short, call me ASAP!

Terminating my account

For two months I have communicated with employees and robots in this company.

For two months I have been promised that they will see to that my account is closed/terminated.

I am abroad, and does not need Globe any more.

I left the country July4

Still today, August 24, the account is not closed, I only got a lot of promises which of course is broken

I have now 37 A4 pages with text an communication and wasted hours without result.

Also I informed that no invoice will be paid from July 4.

No matter what I ask, I get no answers. Only new questions, over and over and over again:

Globe must be the most popular company on earth.

My account number on Cebu is: 87342****.

Update of the case. I was able to find an email at the company under investment relations, where i sent a mail and asked if they could forward it to someone in charge.

They did, and from there they asked more info, of course, and they wanted to call me. But of course they do not call to anyone abroad. Instead the wanted to call to a friend or relative, which i arranged. They called, and asked to talk to me :) Then nothing happen for a while, until we receive message that they could not close the account because of unpaid invoices.

I contacted ir@***.com again, and they replied quickly with info that my account was closed. When checking at Globeathome, my account is gone. It took only three months to close an account. They fight hard to force me to give up, and let the account be active and to avoid me to leave.

But I refused to surrender. So, if you can, AVOID Globe Telecom. Unfortunately, all telecom companies is almost the same, since they have control of all communications. Sky telecom, Mandaue City, was in my case worse.

I wanted to increase the speed of the internet. It did not take the one year to do their job, only nine months!

And about 70 mails and communications. Same, same ***

Update from my experiences. I was able to find an email address to the investment department in the company, wrote them and asked them to forward it to the one in charge.

And my mail was forwarded, and I got a reply with additional information as usual. Then they promised again to terminate the account, but they needed to make a phone call to me. I am abroad, so they did not call. Then they asked to call any friend of me, which I arranged, and they contacted my friend.

Again they wanted to talk to me, but no calls. Last contact was a sms, where they informed they could not terminate the account due to unpaid bills. Bills was unpaid, because I am abroad and do not use internet and Globe did not terminate the account. I wrote one more time to the same address i had, at the investment department, where they returned with an information that my account was closed.

Also on Globe home app, I got same information a couple days ago. So hopefully the workers at Globe Telecom has done their job, but it took almost 3 months, several days and hours of work and 38 pages with text communication, mostly nonsense and repeating questions. Especially my mothers name, which is dead many years ago, is of interest. So my conclusions is, telecom companies want to tie the customer to a never ending contract to use their company and no one else.

I strongly advice other not to touch Globe Telecom, but I am afraid all the others behave the very same way. As an example, we had internet at a house on Mactan island. That time we had Sky as internet provider. We rented out our house for three months, and the tenant wanted a faster internet speed.

It took Sky 9 months (not a year) ONLY to change the speed of the internet. Our guest had moved out long time ago.

And same situation here, lot of communications and promises, but now fulfilling their obligations. They know very well that we are dependent of them, and abuse their power as much as they can.

Impossible to report a technical issue

unable since yesterday only to process prepaid mobile reload through BDO online to all my enrolled globe numbers. BDO told its not a problem in their system but of GLOBE service provider. But as its not an issue connected to my phone number, there is no way to report the issue to Globe...
